How is Mounjaro injected?

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) comes in a single-use pre-filled pen. The injection is subcutaneous (under the skin) and is given once a week. The general steps are:

1. Choose the site: abdomen (at least 5 cm from the navel), front of the thigh or back of the upper arm.
2. Clean the area: wipe with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
3. Prepare the pen: remove the cap and place the pen against the skin at a 90° angle.
4. Inject: press the button and hold the pen against the skin until the dose is fully delivered.
5. Log it in André: select the injection site on the body map. André updates your history and prepares next week.

Why is it important to log every injection?

Mounjaro is a weekly treatment that can last months or years. Without a log:

You lose count: when was your last injection? Was it 2.5 mg or had you already moved up to 5 mg? After several weeks, it all blurs together.
You don't rotate properly: injecting in the same site every time can cause lipodystrophy (hardening of the tissue). André helps you alternate.
Your doctor needs data: at each appointment, your healthcare provider will want to see your injection history, doses and sites.
Titration stays on record: every dose change (2.5 → 5 → 7.5 → 10 → 12.5 → 15 mg) is reflected in your history.
